Are you a strategic people leader with a passion for attracting exceptional talent, shaping future workforce capability and delivering transformational People systems?

We are seeking a talented, ambitious and experienced professional to join our People team as our Head of Talent Attraction and Strategic Workforce Development. This is a unique opportunity to lead organisation-wide talent attraction and workforce planning strategies while playing a pivotal role in the implementation of our next-generation People/HR Information System (HRIS).

 

About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Director of People, you will provide strategic leadership in the design, delivery and implementation of talent attraction campaigns informed by strategic workforce development plans. You will ensure we have the right people in the right roles at the right time, whilst bringing innovation, creativity and commercial insight to our recruitment and resourcing approaches.

 

You will also lead the scoping, procurement and implementation of our new HRIS, ensuring it delivers improved automation, enhanced candidate and employee experiences, stronger data insights and greater organisational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead organisation-wide talent attraction, acquisition, recruitment and onboarding strategies
  • Develop and implement strategic workforce planning frameworks to meet current and future organisational needs
  • Build workforce analytics, dashboards and talent pipeline reporting capabilities
  • Work closely with preferred resourcing partners and key stakeholders
  • Lead succession planning, talent mapping and workforce development initiatives
  • Oversee apprenticeship and volunteering programmes to maximise organisational impact
  • Project manage the procurement and implementation of a new HR Information System
  • Ensure effective People data flows, reporting and self-service functionality across the employee lifecycle
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team
  • Manage budgets, contracts and supplier relationships while ensuring value for money and continuous improvement.

 

About You

We are looking for someone with energy, drive and outstanding interpersonal skills, combined with significant expertise in talent attraction, strategic workforce planning and People systems implementation.

 

You will be able to demonstrate:

 

  • Extensive experience in talent attraction, acquisition and recruitment leadership
  • Experience of working with managers to develop and coordinate strategic workforce planning that supports organisational objectives
  • Proven experience of developing and implementing People/HR Information Systems (HRIS), including an understanding of data and process flows throughout the employee lifecycle
  • A successful track record of business partnering and influencing senior leaders
  • Strong leadership experience, including developing and motivating teams
  • Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, inclusion and accessibility
  • A passion for building diverse, inclusive workplaces and services.

Contract Details

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (2 years)

Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday

Location: Hybrid working available
